Non-computers Now Account for Over Half of Web Real-time Traffic

"Real-time entertainment traffic dominates the Web now; and over half of it happens on devices other than a PC or laptop computer. This according to a new report by research company Sandvine."

Interesting to see how viewing habits have migrated from desktop and laptop computers to, well, everything, including web-connected TVs, set-top boxes, game consoles, and mobile devices.

Looking at mobile devices, peak demand is about 30% real-time entertainment. Here is a breakdown of consumers:

Another set of statistics claim that 33% of Facebook traffic happens on mobile devices, as does 60% of Pandora traffic, and 55% of Twitter traffic. It would be interesting to see statistics on content creation: I'd guess that it's still a majority on the computer side, but dropping. Any time, Anything, Anywhere may be my new motto.
